Kourtni Capree Duv, Founding Member of Hot Chocolate PDX has sang the Star Spangled Banner for the Portland TIMBERS during the PRIDE season and it has been nothing short of amazing fun, extreme privilege and recognition, visibility and most of all genuine, celebration of GLBTQ! Especially for this Black Trans Queen!
Hot Chocolate PDX is so HOT that they're back, Hotter than ever at the TIMBERS PRIDE Night Pre Game Show for the 3rd time in a row!

Never ever will I forget that thunderous applause, the warm embrace and exceptional praise as well as the continued interest in having KCD Entertainment be a part of the THORNS PRDE game and celebration.
I have to admit... it started with the Vikings. The opportunity to sing both the Black National Anthem (Lift Every Voice) and the American National Anthem, (The Star-Spangled Banner) got the attention of those mentioned above!
I was simply a replacement or a fill-in if you will for the Oregon Ravens and that got me the initial gig. I was ready and available, but that gig got me invited back just weeks later for another opportunity to sing both the Black National Anthem (Lift Every Voice) and the American National Anthem (the Star Spangled Banner) at the Western Conference Playoffs (WNFC IXCup 2025) for the Texas ELITE vs San Diego Rebellion game.
Hot Chocolate PDX has been celebrating PRIDE the moment we got booked for the Portland Timbers PRIDE Night Pre-Game Show and that was 2 or 3 months prior to June. In the midst of celebrating PRIDE month, we also celebrated Juneteenth Spirit Week. A collective of ALL Black Producers in PDX.
The timeline of events could not have been any better. House Resolution Number 3,
Amended by Kourtni Capree Duv and Henry Felton honors Black Drag Artists who have contributed to the fabric of the Black GLBTQ Community and the GLBTQ Community at large, thanks to Travis Nelson making that recognition known all the way to the capital in Salem, Oregon.
The resolution was passed on June 18th 2025 - the same day Hot Chocolate PDX had their Juneteenth Pre-Funk show at the UnderBar in Vancouver, WA.
Hot Chocolate PDX motto is
The Creme of the Crop
Black Drag History In Portland
"We Have Not Disbanded But In Fact, We Have ReBranded and Expanded!"
Hot Chocolate PDX helped close out Juneteenth Spirit Week with our seasonal monthly show held every 4th Sunday at the Alberta Street Pub
This review has shed light on our best attributes within the brunch scene and has also brought attention to our menu! It is with great pride to be recognized for our undeniably TALENTED cast! Thank You!
We intend to take into great consideration the feedback we received when Hot Chocolate PDX returns in February 2026. Until then please save the date for the season FINALE of Hot Chocolate PDX Chocolate Dipped Brunch Show August 24th 2025.

The Black National Anthem (Lift Every Voice) has been a song that has brought unity and diversity together! I have witnessed it time and time again as I am booked to sing this powerful message of hope. Thank You SOB
The BINGO gigg in the same week was icing on the cake! The exposure from both Pride stages was one hell of an experience. Thank you for the opportunity to share my gifts on such huge platforms in the PNW. The reception of the folx up north was earth shaking! Thank you for that experience, Seattle WA!!! Thank You
The recognition and RESPECT from you both... the eye for change and progress. The need to preserve and honor our roots. Its our history. The ability to make a difference while the opportunity is in your hand is what you have done, what you are doing and I thank you. I am so grateful. One Moment in Time! We will never see THIS moment again. However, it will always be stamped in history. Thank you for even picking up the phone to consider me at all. That is what Imma cherish the most! You thought of me when you thought about Black Drag History in Portland where I was born and raised!
Thank you, Niece, for always creating space for me to showcase my talent and for showing up for community.
It always an amazing experience that taught me to "Stay ready!!! So you wont have to get ready!!!" That was the best lesson learned from experience. I was ready and available. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
