Black Magic

"I know off hand the show started September 2018! But It was either the 8th or 9th for the first show.  Of course this was at Local Lounge at the time. From there, the show picked up traction and moved to CCs later in the year when I would host alongside Devlin.   

I started the show to highlight Black and brown entertainers as I felt Portland was too whitewashed in promoted nightlife & entertainment. This was in no way to disregard the past of Portland's history with fabulous Black owned and produced shows but was to hopefully add a new chapter in it. 

This show has grown more important as the years go on as we specifically showcase almost exclusively Black talent these days. I still want to encourage other PoC to be in the show, but I primarily book and employ Black entertainers and hosts. This is not to push other folks out of the show or make people feel unwelcome, but to uplift and love on black entertainers, to make us feel welcome. No matter where we are."
